There are several different categories of pet products available in various pet stores that will ensure that you are able to do pet grooming at home itself. Whatever breed of dog you have, whether a poodle or a Labrador, some of the pet products remain the same like the grooming tables (adjustable, hydraulic, and electric), dog grooming shampoo, dog dryers, combs and brushes, grooming rakes, furminators, clippers, matbreakers, and others. There are many other pet grooming products available in ...

Blue Heelers come from a long line of Australian Cattle Dogs. In fact, many would find it interesting to know that the name "heeler" comes from their habit of nipping at cattle's feet while herding them. Although Blue Heelers are more commonly known today as humble pet companions, there will still be times that their natural instincts may get the best of them.
This is why
puppy training is essential for Blue Heelers. Nipping may not seem like a harmful thing especially among ...

Both mixed breed dogs and purebreds have their fans but is one kind of dog actually better than the other? Is it possible to live with both kinds of dogs? What about the dogs? Do they know or care if they sport a pedigree or not?
Ask a diehard fan of mixed breeds or shelter dogs and they will probably tell you that you can do a lot of good by adopting a dog from a shelter. These dogs are often unwanted and may be euthanized unless they are adopted by someone.

There are two opinions when it comes to dog digging, and they are on the opposite extremes. One extreme is that dogs will be dogs, and if you own a digging dog it is bred into them and their is absolutely nothing you can do about. The other extreme is, of course, that a dog can be trained to do, or not to do,anything...and this includes digging. So, can you stop a digging dog? I tend to take a middle ground when it comes to dog digging. I believe that an attempt should be made to stop a digging ...

When it comes to
puppy house training everybody wants to do it fast and simple. Instructing a puppy or a grown dog is, like life, an ongoing and occasionally messy procedure. Professionals have learned that food, while a excellent incentive, really should not be the only trigger for an animal. A person can't often have treats, and if an owner is trying to teach the dog to stop chasing squirrels are they truly going to come for a dog biscuit?
The sound of one's voice is ...

"The dog is man's best friend," So, the saying goes. Dogs have
proven to be loving and loyal companions of people. That is
almost everyone owns at least a dog. From pitbulls to dachshunds

But what happens when your pet dog gets lost? What if, one day,
while you are strolling across a park quite far from your home
with your Labrador, your pet suddenly gets lost? Do not resort
to panic, as this would not help solve the situation.
The first ...

Yes, pets get lost more than they get stolen, but pet theft is
becoming more and more of a problem with pet owners. It pays to
take some simple and inexpensive precautions that will prevent a
tragedy. Such things as tattooing all of your animals, and
micro-chipping is an excellent form of pet identification.
Remember to keep every gate into your property locked at all
times and you may want to even consider some fake security
cameras, which are almost guaranteed to deter a thief. Of
course, ...

Puppy training pads would be the diapers in the canine community. A report from the American Psychological Association indicated that the typical dog is usually as intelligent as a young child. New pups, much like new people, require some time to master to regulate themselves. The typical grownup would not expect a new baby to make use of the toilet effectively while in the first year. The typical human is almost four before they're entirely toilet trained, particularly in the ...

My dog is a chewer. He's a Border collie with unlimited energy and needs to be entertained much of the time. I often get him dog toys of all shapes and sizes. The first thing he goes after are the eyes if the toy has them. The next is the squeaker, followed by any stuffing. If there ever was a dog that needed durable dog toys, my dog is the perfect example.
Now my dog is no amateur when it comes to quickly dissecting every toy that is made from cloth materials. He does have a squirrel that he ...

Puppy training in many ways is easier than training an adult dog, in that puppies have just not yet had a chance to learn how to respond to their environments. During puppy training you need to remember, puppies don't have the endurance of an adolescent or adult dog. The whole puppy training experience should be pleasant for both you and your puppy. Did you know that the early stages of puppy training are the most ...
